Another wonderful video, Maestro! And the violin I bought from you is seeing a lot of use these days. I'm recently part of a trio that plays folk and indie music covers, and we have a casual gig next month at the local Irish pub. The projection quality is perfect for such settings!

You can make shorter videos about historical violins from the point of view of a violin maker. Historical facts that involve violin making. And also you can talk about the great musical works for violin and what kind of acoustical properties should a violin have, from the perspective of a maker, to be able to match the different styles of the violin works. I would love to see you interact with the violin's super rich history! There is a lot to mine there and your perspective as a maker would be very valuable for the average musician!

Thanks Maestro. It's good to see you again. You have really helped me a lot with your videos and I have learned a lot. I have learned to make small adjustments and repairs thanks to you. I live in El Salvador, and we don't really have luthiers here, so this educational material has been very valuable to me. You are my virtual teacher and I appreciate it. 🫶

I like watching you, as a person, work on violins and instruments you enjoy working on. I appreciate that you want to bring new ideas and keep your work focused on not recycling ideas, but I could watch you do repairs all day. I'm one of these people who subscribe to Olaf the Violin maker, twofrd, not a luthier, and others who put out basically the same content over and over, fixing up violins and guitars. It's relaxing to see artists at work, it's nice to hear conversation about the topic, and luthiers of all personalities seem to be interesting people in general, yourself included! That said, I respect that making videos is a lot of work, and the work needs to be valuable to you as well! If filming and talking through repairs is boring for you, it will be boring for us too, so its better to make sure you are filming what interests you, and not doing it out of obligation. For video ideas, I would be interested to see even small videos about small details about violin making. Like if you made a short about how you get a purfling corner to be sharp, that would be cool. Or like if you had a learned technique with a tool that has helped you be better at your craft, that you think every luthier should know about. But I like long format videos more :) I'm glad to be a subscriber! Love your work and have gone back to it a couple times in search of answers I remember you talking about

I am a volunteer amateur luthier for a youth orchestra in Ecuador. People from the US give me broken instruments to repair for the kids. I don't work on valuable instruments. Almost any instrument is better than the $100 instruments they purchase here. I have gotten many ideas from your channel. The repair that is most difficult for me is where the peg box has broken. Or the neck at the narrow part just below the peg box and broken necks in general. So any videos on these topics would really be helpful. I've done a lot of these repairs. A few have failed. While not valuable instruments, it means a kid is without one. I'm glad you are back. You are my favorite RUclips luthier.
